
Owning a non-hybrid vehicle, but somehow interested to get hold of a hybrid with the desire to be 'Green'. Well, now that is possible!
Connaught, a small-scale auto manufacturer based in the UK has developed a 'bolt-on' Hybrid System. This auxiliary 'mild hybrid system', known as Hibrid+, has been tested on Tesco's Ford Transit Cargo Vans.
Connaught Chief Designer, Geoff Matthews expects a reduction in fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions of between 15 and 20%—and possibly 25%—depending on the cycle, traffic conditions, and driver. Servicing of the Hybrid+ system is required every 30,000 mi (48,000 km).
